About Nature Observation Projects (NOP)

Korean Minjok Leadership Academy has vast amount of forest land that is preserved for biological diversity. While school owns 310 acres of land, only 10% is used for educational facilities. To some, this was a terrible reality; however, to a bio lover like me, this was something I loved the most about the school.
Throughout three years of high school, I was able to conduct multiple environmental research in our 'backyard' forest.
1. Flying Squirrel Species Preservation
2. Mole Species Identification and Activity Investigation
3. Motion Detection Camera Configuration
4. Aerial Mapping of School Forest
Research was aided and guided by our European History teacher and a nature enthusiast, Alexander Ganse.
